How to Apply Press-On Nails
Prep, place, and hold — one nail at a time.

Applying press-on nails can be a calm, at-home ritual when you give yourself a few unhurried minutes. This guide focuses on preparation, fit, and a clean application sequence rather than shortcuts.
Prepare your natural nails
Begin with hands that are clean and completely dry. Remove old polish, then prepare your nails according to the instructions supplied with your set and adhesive. Keep the process gentle: the goal is a clean surface, not aggressive filing or buffing.
Check the fit before adhesive
Lay out each press-on and try it over the matching natural nail. It should sit comfortably from sidewall to sidewall without touching the skin. When two sizes are close, choose the option that appears more natural on the nail bed. You can find additional fit information on the Size Guide.
Apply one nail at a time
Use the adhesive exactly as directed in the product instructions. Place the press-on at the cuticle area, lower it toward the tip, and apply even pressure for the amount of time specified by the adhesive maker. Taking one nail at a time can help keep the set aligned and intentional.
After application
Give your set a final visual check in natural light and keep your size sequence for next time. Avoid treating the press-ons as tools for opening or scraping things. For everyday upkeep and gentle removal principles, visit the press-on nail care guide.
Always follow the product safety and adhesive instructions supplied with your set. Stop use if you experience discomfort or irritation.
